Delivery Method

Articles/copies are normally delivered electronically to your registered Dalhousie email address. Each email includes a link to the article. The link can be opened twice and is available for 14 days after delivery.

Problems with Links to Items

Please check the email that was sent to you. If it suggests that you contact reference staff for assistance please use the information provided to do so. Alternatively, such problems can be referred  to Documents Delivery staff at docdel@dal.ca or at 902-494-3612.

Limits on Copying

Document Delivery follows the Dalhousie Fair Dealing Guidelines which permit the requesting of one article per issue of a journal for you or one chapter of a book. If you need multiple chapters of a book we will try to borrow the book. If you need multiple articles from one journal issue we will investigate the possibility of purchasing the articles. Costs may be prohibitive. You will be notified if we are unable to obtain material for you.
