Alumni Services

The Dalhousie Libraries are pleased to offer our alumni the following Library Services during COVID-19:

  • Our spaces have reopened to everyone, including community borrowers.
  • The general loan period is 3 weeks. Books can be obtained through our curbside pickup service.
  • The loan period for Videos/DVDs is 7 days.
  • Renewals are available on materials that have not been requested by other users.
  • Holds may be placed on Dalhousie Library materials that are signed out.
  • Searches may be requested for materials that are listed as "in library" but are not on the shelves.
  • Course reserve materials are not available for loan.
  • Return your materials to any location, even if it's not where you borrowed them from.
To take full advantage of these library services, we encourage you register for an Off-Campus Borrower card

Electronic Resources for Dal Alumni

Online resources can be accessed from computers in each of our five libraries as well as the Wallace McCain Learning Commons and the Kellogg Library Learning Commons.  Our licensing agreements only permit us to extend off-campus access to current students, staff and faculty.  Please be aware that access to licensed resources is for academic purposes only.
