Learning Commons
The Dunn, Killam, MacRae and Sexton libraries each have a Learning Commons.
The Kellogg Library Learning Commons (KLLC) is located in the Collaborative Health Education Building (CHEB).
There is one additional Learning Commons adjacent to the Life Sciences Centre, the Wallace McCain Learning Commons (WMLC).

Computer lab
The Sir James Dunn Law Library has an ITS computer lab, containing 25 workstations, located on the first floor. Computers in this lab have Windows workstations and their primary purpose is for legal research and instruction. Computer labs at Dalhousie are for faculty, staff, and student use only.

- Upper Learning Commons: Second floor of the Library within the McNab Reading Room.

- Accessible only to current Dalhousie students, staff and faculty members.
- Variety of software, including: Microsoft Office 2013, SPSS, SAS, Maple, ArcGIS, Matlab and Minitab.
- Adobe Creative Suite 6 is installed as well as a flatbed scanner at each machine.
