Computers

Library computers provide access to software, online resources, and other tools for your academic work.

Computer options vary by location and may include PC, Mac, Express, and creative workstations.

Express workstations provide quick access to library computers without requiring a full login. Other workstations may require your Dalhousie username and password.

Printing

Printing is available at several library locations, with options varying by location.

Black and white, colour, and large-format printing for posters and other projects are available at select locations.

Some Learning Commons provide specialized equipment and technology for academic work and creative projects. Depending on the location, you may find:

Find Technology by Location

Killam Memorial Library

  • The Downie Wenjack Learning Commons on the main floor in the Killam Library offers PC, Mac, Express, and creative workstations. Creative workstations include Adobe Creative Suite and flatbed scanners. Printing options include black and white, colour, and large-format printing.
  • The McNab Reading Room in the upper learning commons on the second floor of the Killam Library has PC, Mac, and Express workstations and blank & white printing.

Kellogg Library & Learning Commons

  • The Kellogg Library offers PC, Mac, and Express workstations, scanners, and black and white printing.

  • Located in the Collaborative Health Education Building (CHEB), the Kellogg Library Learning Commons offers PC, Mac, and Express workstations, scanners, and black and white and colour printing.

  • The MacRae Library on Dalhousie’s Agricultural Campus offers PC and Express workstations, scanning, and printing.

  • The Sexton Learning Commons offers PC and Express workstations, scanners, black and white and colour printing, and 3D printing.

Sir James Dunn Law Library

  • The Dunn Law Library has computers, scanners, printers, and photocopiers available for students, faculty, and staff. The Purdy Crawford Information Commons also has Windows workstations reserved for legal research and instruction.
