About Copyright Services
Copyright law has changed a significantly in recent years. New technology, legal updates, and changes in practice have already affected, and will keep affecting, how the University creates and uses copyrighted material.
We provide support to faculty, staff and students to ensure that our community can succeed in their teaching, research, and studies.
We strive to:
- provide educational programs and general advice on copyright issues
- monitor the university community's compliance with copyright rules and encourage appropriate practices
- develop and disseminate copyright policy
Advisory Committee
Dalhousie University's Copyright Advisory Committee looks at how copyright laws and rules affect how students, faculty, and staff use information. The Committee includes all relevant groups on campus to make sure the university has a clear and coordinated approach to copyright.
