Recent digital projects across the Dalhousie Libraries

Dalhousie Libraries develops a wide variety of projects that support the development of digital archives, digital humanities, digital publishing, as well as data and GIS.

2018 Dalhousie 200th Anniversary Timeline Timeline of events in the history of Dalhousie University. Digitized content used for Dalhousie's bicentennial celebrations (see #Dal200 and #DalArchives on Twitter).
2017-2018 W.K. Kellogg Health Sciences Library photograph digitization project More than 1,400 historical photographs from the W.K. Kellogg Health Sciences Library digitized and made available online through the finding aid for the University Photograph Collection.
2017 Lives of Dalhousie digital exhibit and digital editions New digital editions of volume one and volume two of Peter B. Waite's official history of Dalhousie University, accompanied by a special online exhibit for each volume (volume one and volume two).
2017 Barbara Hinds processing project
Archival processing and digitization project funded by the Nova Scotia Provincial Archival Development Program (PADP).
2017 Kipling Scrapbooks Digital Exhibit Digitized scrapbooks from the Libraries' Rudyard Kipling Collection. Assembled by contemporaries of Kipling's, these scrapbooks represent the wide range of responses to Kipling and his work during the height of his career. 
2017 History of Dartmouth and Halifax Harbour Digitized copies of Douglas William Trider's four volume history of Dartmouth and Halifax Harbour. 
2017 Thomas Raddall's Short Stories: A collection of previously unpublished manuscripts held by the Dalhousie University Archives Digital reprints of previously unpublished Thomas Raddall manuscripts held by the Dalhousie University Archives. 
2016-2017 Bill Freedman processing project Processing a hybrid archival collection of paper, photographic slides, computers, and floppy disks. Funded in part by YCW program.
2016-2017 Digital Archives Internship Digital archives projects funded in part by YCW program.
2016 Digital archives collection assessment The Dalhousie University Archives completed an assessment of the Archives Permanent Collection for born-digital archival material stored on digital media carriers. This report outlines the assessment methodology; provides a summary of the data; and establishes a preliminary plan for how to act on the assessment findings.
2015 Marie-Claire Blais: A Bibliography A supplement and update to the original Marie-Claire Blais: An Annotated Bibliography (1959-1990), published by ECW Press of Toronto in 1998. The web version of this book is hosted at the Dal Libraries' Digital Editions site.
2015 Ransom Myers textual and electronic records processing project Archival processing and web archiving project funded by the Nova Scotia Provincial Archival Development Program. The web archive collection is hosted at Archive-It.
2014 West Novas: a history of the West Nova Scotia Regiment Digital edition of Thomas Raddall's history of the West Nova Scotia Regiment.
