Fines and Overdues
Borrowers are responsible for all books checked out on their card. Having overdue books, or accumulating fines, at one library will result in the loss of borrowing privileges at all libraries in the Novanet system.
Checking fines and overdues
- Overdue notices are sent one week after the item becomes overdue.
- Statements of account are sent at the beginning of every month for all debts incurred in the past three months.
- Check to see if you owe any fines by logging into your Novanet library account. Use the barcode at the bottom of your ID card and the last four digits of your phone number.
Lost or damaged books
- Lost or damaged books are replaced at the borrower's expense.
- Charges include fines owing on the book, the cost to replace the book and a processing charge.
Paying fines
- Fines can be paid at any Novanet library circulation desk. Overdue fines vary by library so please select the appropriate library for more information.

- 2 hour loan: $1.00 per hour
- 24 hour: $0.25 per hour
- 3 day loan: $1.00 per day
