Document Delivery

The Dalhousie Document Delivery Service supports Dalhousie faculty, students, staff and affiliated individuals by borrowing or providing access to books, articles and other materials needed for their teaching, learning or research. To this end Dalhousie Libraries fully participate in the international interlibrary loan resource sharing service with libraries and institutions worldwide.

Holiday Suspension of Document Delivery Services 2014

Dalhousie Document Delivery services will be CLOSED from December 24th 2014 - January 2nd 2015 inclusive. Requests submitted during this period will be processed beginning January 5, 2015.

Please note: Most libraries begin suspending the loaning of Document Delivery books or microforms in early December. Requests for copies usually continue to be filled up until a few days before Christmas. If you require an item prior to our holiday closure on December 24, please indicate this in the notes section of your request. If your ‘need by date’ cannot be met Document Delivery staff will notify you via email.
